The Selfcare team can give your account credit or extend your trial. This happens, for example, when you come from ClanHR with time already paid for, or when we agree an adjustment with you. Either way, the account owner gets an email.
Where you see the credit
In Settings → Plan, the Account credit card shows the credit available (excluding VAT) and, for each part, the date it is valid until. Only the owner and the accountant can see this page.
How it is used
- On a new invoice, your plan's price applies first, with your discount code if you have one (for example, the ClanHR code).
- VAT (IVA) is then added.
- Finally, the credit is taken off the total. If the credit is larger than the invoice, what is left carries over to the next invoice.
The discount code and the credit add up: one does not replace the other. When you have credit with different dates, the credit that expires first is used first. The certified invoice shows the credit used.
Validity
Credit is valid for 12 months from the day you received it. Anything not used by then no longer counts and is removed from the balance automatically. Credit is not refunded, including if you stop using Selfcare.
Balance from ClanHR
If you come from ClanHR and had paid for a period that has not ended yet, Selfcare turns the unused time into credit. The calculation starts on the migration day:
| Amount paid excl. VAT | from your last ClanHR invoice |
| Days left | from the migration day to the end of the paid period |
| Credit | amount paid × days left ÷ days of the paid period, rounded to the cent |
The balance is migrated only once per account.
Extra trial days
If you need more time to try Selfcare, talk to us. Selfcare can extend your trial by up to 30 days at a time. The new date appears in Settings → Plan and you get an email with it.
