How we're organised, in one picture
The Selfcare org chart shows the company's areas, who heads each one and who works there. It's drawn from each person's data, so it's always up to date.

The org chart of the demo company Atlântida Software, using the app's own component. Matilde is in two areas.
Two questions, two structures
In a real company, the person who approves your leave isn't always the head of your area. Someone in recruitment can be on a project team and belong to People Development. So Selfcare keeps the two apart.
Org chart
How are we organised?
- Functional areas, such as Product, Operations or People Development
- Areas inside areas, each with a head
- One person can be in several areas
- Replaces the old “department” field
Teams
Who approves what for whom?
- Each team has a leader, who approves the members' absences
- A person on several teams has several approvers
- Moving someone to another area doesn't touch any approval
- The owner and HR can always approve, in any case
How it works
Set it up in minutes, by dragging
You create the areas, then pick each one's head and where it sits. Next you drag the people who don't have an area yet onto the right card. You can also pick areas on each employee's profile.
- A list of who isn't in any area yet, so nobody is left out
- Deleting an area moves the ones inside it up one level
- Expand everything and export to PDF for the wall or the welcome handbook
- The whole company sees the org chart. Only the owner and HR change it
Who it's for
For people joining and people managing
Newcomers see right away who does what and who to ask. Managers see at a glance the areas with a lot of people, the ones without a head and the people without an area.
- Each person's profile opens with the areas they're in
- Always matches the data: when someone leaves the company, they leave the org chart
- Included in every plan, at no extra cost

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between an area and a team?+
The area says where the person sits in the company's structure. The team says who approves their absences. A person can be in Product on the org chart and have their leave approved by the leader of the project team they work on.
Does the head of an area approve the leave of the people in it?+
No. Approvals follow teams only. If you want them to approve, make them the leader of a team with those people.
Can a person be in more than one area?+
Yes. They appear in each area they're in, and the profile shows them all.
Does it cost more?+
No. The org chart is on every plan.
